I am hearing modem tones when answering a call.
Check the installation.  Make sure the telephone cord from the wall jack is connected to the jack marked LINE on the back of the unit.  Make sure the telephone cord from your computer modem is connected to the jack marked MODEM on the back of the unit.  Make sure your telephone is plugged into the jack marked PHONE on the unit.  Although the unit will detect calls if the telephone is not connected to the unit, you will only be able to answer calls on the telephone connected to the unit..
My ISP keeps dropping the connection.
Most ISPs will maintain the connection for 10-15 seconds. If you talk longer than that, the ISP may automatically drop the connection. If that happens, press the REFRESH key on your browser bar.
My ISP still keeps dropping the connection.
You need to increase the amount of time your modem allows before disconnecting. Follow the directions in your product manual (also available on this website) to increase the amount of time allowed by your modem. This is done by adding "S10=255" (without the parentheses) to the end of the command string on your dialer configuration screen.
